Faces of Roller Derby – 2025

Currently in development, “Faces of Roller Derby” explores the diverse community that makes this sport come alive. Moving beyond the action on the track, this collection focuses on intimate portraits of the people who form the heart of roller derby—skaters, referees, officials, volunteers, photographers, first aid teams, and junior players. Each portrait reveals the character and passion that draws people to this unique sport, celebrating not just the athletes but the entire ecosystem of individuals who contribute to roller derby’s inclusive, supportive culture. Through close-up portraiture, the project aims to showcase the faces behind the helmets and capture the spirit of a community where everyone belongs, regardless of their role or experience level.

Portraits at the Zoo – 2024

“Portraits At The Zoo” emerged from an unplanned moment during a family visit to Adelaide Zoo. What began as a spontaneous decision to bring my camera along evolved into something deeper—a collection of portraits that approach animals with the same intimate care I give to human subjects. Published in 2024, this 36-page book reveals the distinct personalities and expressive nature of zoo residents, challenging the traditional boundaries between wildlife and portrait photography. It represents my belief that every subject, regardless of species, deserves to be seen and captured with dignity and artistic intention—a philosophy that flows through all my work, whether commissioned or personal.
